Schools & Education

Find the right school for your family.

Moving children into a new education system adds another layer to relocation. New Latitude helps families understand their options, narrow the search and make school decisions alongside the bigger question of where to live.

Start with the child

The right school starts with understanding what matters.

There is rarely one “best” school. The right choice depends on the child, the family and the life they are building around it.

We begin by understanding your children, their stage of education and your priorities. Academic needs matter, but so do personality, interests, learning preferences, extracurricular activities, commute, family routines and the type of community you want around you.

That gives us a much more useful starting point than rankings alone.

How we help

Clarity across a new education system.

Every destination has its own education structure, terminology, enrolment requirements and local considerations. New Latitude helps families understand the landscape before they make major decisions around school and home.

  • Education system guidance

An introduction to the relevant school system, year levels, school types and the factors families should understand when relocating.

  • School research & shortlisting

Research aligned with your children, family priorities, preferred location and wider relocation requirements.

  • Public & private options

Guidance across relevant government, independent and private schooling options so you can understand the choices available to your family.

  • Catchments & location

Where relevant, we consider school catchments and enrolment zones alongside the suburbs and homes you are considering.

  • Enrolment guidance

Support understanding enrolment processes, timelines and the information or documentation schools may require.

  • School communication

Where appropriate, we can assist with enquiries and communication with shortlisted schools as part of your relocation.

  • Tours & meetings

Where available and relevant, we can assist with coordinating school tours or meetings so families can explore suitable options in more depth.

  • Transition planning

We help families consider the practical relationship between school, home, commute and everyday routines before they arrive.

Education + location

School and home should never be planned in isolation.

For families, choosing a school can directly influence where it makes sense to live. And choosing a home without understanding the schooling implications can create unnecessary compromises later.

New Latitude considers education alongside your wider relocation brief, including housing, commute, lifestyle, family routine and destination priorities.

Education experience

Education knowledge grounded in real teaching experience.

The perspective behind New Latitude includes more than a decade of professional teaching experience.

That matters because choosing a school is about more than reading a website or comparing a league table. Families need to consider the environment their child will learn in, the structure of the education system, the practicalities of daily life and how the move may affect the child as a whole.

We bring that education perspective into the wider relocation process, helping families ask better questions and make more considered decisions.

Questions

Schools & Education FAQs

Can New Latitude choose a school for us?

We can research and narrow suitable options based on your family’s priorities, but the final decision remains with you. Our role is to give you clearer information and context so you can make that decision with confidence.

Can you guarantee our child a place at a particular school?

No. Admissions, availability and enrolment decisions are controlled by individual schools or the relevant education authority. New Latitude can assist you in understanding the process and preparing for it, but we cannot guarantee placement.

Can you help with both public and private schools?

Yes. Depending on the destination and your requirements, we can consider relevant government, independent and private schooling options as part of the research.

Should we choose a school before finding a home?

It depends on the destination and your priorities. In areas where school catchments or enrolment zones matter, the two decisions can be closely connected. This is one of the reasons New Latitude considers education and home finding together.

Can you help families moving internationally?

Yes. Education support can be particularly useful when moving between countries because school structures, academic years, terminology and enrolment processes may differ considerably.

Is Schools & Education available as a standalone service?

Schools & Education support is provided as part of a broader New Latitude relocation so that school decisions can be considered alongside location, housing and the wider move.
